About the Florida Orthopaedic Society

The Florida Orthopaedic Society (FOS) was founded in 1947 with a goal to raise the standards of orthopaedic practices. Being a member offers you access to a robust clinical content, legislative advocacy, education, and a supportive network of your peers that will help elevate your career.

The Florida Orthopaedic Society will be the premier organization that promotes the highest quality musculoskeletal health for the citizens of Florida.

The Florida Orthopaedic Society will champion the interests of musculoskeletal patients and orthopaedic surgeons in Florida.

It’s our faithful ambition to influence the rest of the nation’s practices with proper orthopaedic improvements starting with our home state. We’d love for you to join our team as we strive to promote the practice of orthopaedics in Florida. Note: Membership is based on a calendar year and expires December 31st.

Dues are not deductible as a charitable expense but they may be deductible as a business expense according to the IRS. 35% of your dues were used for direct lobbying expenses and may not be deducted.
